One laptop with AMD Radeon R6 graphics and one desktop with AMD A10. The laptop is running Cinnamon with xorg and the desktop is running Gnome 3 with xorg. The colors are very strange if using eog: heavy blue tint and reduced colorspace but in images only. Gimp has incorrect red icons (but correct backgrounds) in the toolbar but images are shown correctly. However there are no other problems: the browsers are showing correct colors and every other program I use shows correct colors except the monitor color profile changer program that shows the bluish tinted color in its preview. If I change desktop to use Gnome 3 with Wayland (manual starting from .bash_profile tty1 as explained in Arch Wiki), all color errors are fixed.
Also: I can start Wayland manually only because when selected from GDM UI defaults back to xorg. When I use Wayland with desktop I also miss the DPMS options (no "sleep" for display anymore). So this would be fixed in desktop by using Wayland but I need the DPMS and thus xorg (and correct colors).

Those icons in 221169 look exactly the same. But then I have the ugly blue tint in every image I see with eog. Maybe it's related.

Just found the error report already created: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/52288
One of those screenshots shows the blue tint problem (appears also in eog): https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/52288?getfile=14842
So this is basically the same error. Thanks Morn and seth for the link.

I think Instagram users would consider those images to be perfectly normal-looking. We should turn this version of LLVM into an app and market it to hipsters. ![]()
