<Solved> mutt doesn't show body of email

Hi,

I installed mutt with the instructions of the wiki page. When I configured my gmail account, it shows all my emails. But when I open an email, it doesn't show the body. I can only see the body when I open the attachment "v" and then select the plain or html. How can I configure mutt, so it show the body instantly without going to the attachments?

This is my .muttrc:

bind editor <space> noop
set alias_file        = '~/.mutt/aliases.txt'
set copy              = no
set display_filter    = '$HOME/.mutt/aliases.sh'
set editor            = "vim +/^$ ++1"
set folder            = "imaps://imap.gmail.com/"
set hostname          = "gmail.com"
set imap_check_subscribed
set imap_pass         = "*********"
set imap_user         = "email@gmail.com"
set mail_check        = 5
set move              = no
set postponed         = "+[Gmail]/Drafts"
set spoolfile         = "+INBOX"
set text_flowed       = yes
set imap_keepalive = 900
set ssl_starttls=yes
set ssl_force_tls=yes
set smtp_url = "smtp://email@smtp.gmail.com:587/"
set smtp_pass = "*********"

unset imap_passive
unset record
set header_cache = '~/.mutt/cache/headers
set message_cachedir = '~/.mutt/cache/bodies
set certificate_file = '~/.mutt/certificates

# Gmail-style keyboard shortcuts
macro index ga "<change-folder>=[Gmail]/All Mail<enter>" "Go to all mail"
macro index gd "<change-folder>=[Gmail]/Drafts<enter>" "Go to drafts"
macro index gi "<change-folder>=INBOX<enter>" "Go to inbox"
macro index gs "<change-folder>=[Gmail]/Starred<enter>" "Go to starred messages"
macro index gt "<change-folder>=[Gmail]/Trash<enter>" "Go to trash"
macro index,pager d "<save-message>=[Gmail]/Trash<enter><enter>" "Trash"
macro index,pager y "<save-message>=[Gmail]/All Mail<enter><enter>" "Archive"

source $alias_file

auto_view text/plain
alternative_order text/plain text/enriched text/html

this is my .mailcap

# for mutt to view html e-mails
text/html; w3m -I %{charset} -T text/html; copiousoutput;
text/plain; cat %s; copiousoutput

Hopefully someone can help me with this issue, since I tried to solve this for a couple of hours.

Thanks in advanced,

smika

What is this line doing?

set display_filter    = '$HOME/.mutt/aliases.sh'

Re: <Solved> mutt doesn't show body of email

Thanks for you reply,

This scripts runs a script to get the aliases from email. Thanks to your question, I disabled this and now it looks like it works as i wanted. Thanks.
