Steam constantly updating [added console output]

Hello Arch community, I hope you all enjoyed your New year's eve. So I installed Steam and Steam-native-runtime but when steam patches it constantly restarts the patch at the end then gives me

Fatal runetime: Steam needs to be online to be updated

This happens after a few attempts of updating and I can't seem to find the problem.

Edit: Thought it would be a good idea to add console output to what's going on

According to google, this a pretty common issue. I've found the following Linux based thread: http://steamcommunity.com/app/221410/di … 380564675/ and also the official FAQ regarding the error: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_art … -UAXB-2919. Unfortunately the previous link seems to only show Mac and Windows, but should still be of some use. I've never encountered this error before. If you find a fix, let me know and I can add it to the wiki. While I'm at it, I'll double check that this isn't covered in the wiki already.

Went through everything and honestly couldn't find much, updated the post with console output.
