Re: gnome-music cant play music

I always get the same error

GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_composite: assertion 'dest_x >= 0 && dest_x + dest_width <= dest->width' failed

  when opening gnome-music from the terminal, I don't think that's the problem that won't let you search for the additional folders under music folder. Please note gnome music does not scan any other folders than music at the moment as far as I know.

On regard of second error:

gstbaseparse.c(3608): gst_base_parse_loop (): /GstPlayBin:player/GstURIDecodeBin:uridecodebin0/GstDecodeBin:decodebin1/GstMpegAudioParse:mpegaudioparse0:
     streaming stopped, reason not-linked (-1)

I have the feeling you missed a couple lines right below those ones. I was having this error just an hour ago and it turned out to be a missing codec. Gnome music use extra codecs from gstreamer, specially the fluendo codec for mp3 files, do you have them installed? In my case I installed them from AUR and after the fluendo-mp3 codec the mp3 files played correctly
