[SOVLED] Multiple KDE sessions

Hello,

I run the physical X server on which I am logged.
I also run a headless X server on TigerVNC. A different server, not redirecting to the physical one.
I usually log off the physical session to free the KDE access.

Is there any way to run 2 sessions of KDE for the same user on a single computer ?
Or is that just impossible because the preferences would overlap and make a mess ?

Or would you advise to create a different user and just have the Documents accessible from both users ?

Thank you !

I always created different users for two at the same time but ussually because i had different uses for specific things. i would think there would be conflicts having two instances. maybe sandboxing but having same but seporate sandboxes.

Re: [SOVLED] Multiple KDE sessions

Hello,

Yes, it makes sense actually.
I thought one could be kind of read only or "slave" for the settings but it would not make it simple, plus it needs a socket to connect to etc.

I am just to create a VNC user and that's it.

Thanks !
