FYI
use 2.14.1
Damn, another many hours wasted.
the libraries are very(really!) unstable.
waiting 2.16.x
PS: had tried garnome on another hdd(200GB/1GB ram) with arch-0.7.2
one ironic thing is my previous arch is much more slick and faster than 0.7.2, i gues it was the wasted time and stable-garnome.
I removed my sig, cause i select the flag, the flag often the target of enemy.

mmm, I did build gnome 2.15.2 with some modified PKGBUILDs, it was just as stable as the 2.14 series.
As there where not much improvements, there was no need for me to keep using it so I downgraded back to 2.14.

It was pretty quick . I think it was below 2 hours. It should not take much more time as rebuilding current gnome (PKGBUILD editing is just minor)

you are lying or i missed something there about PKGBUILD..

is that what you mean with no offend
or i missed something there about PKGBUILD..
probably so
check on ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/desktop/2 … .2/sources which packages are in 2.15.2
You see that quite a bit are just the 2.14.* ones, which are in the repo, so no need to update those.
some others you probably also don't need.
Now find out which packages you need to update.
Now use ABS to copy those over to some build location. Change the sources, version numbers, and depends in the PKGBUILDs and you're done. (probably most packages do not need extra modification)
Start making the packages.

Those are not part of the gnome releases. You should be able to update gnome without having the newest versions of these libs (well, at least with the repo versions it works)

Those are not part of the gnome releases.
But, it is the part of garnome-2.15.2.1.
