I've noticed this only a few days ago:
When mounting my server's - otherwise perfectly working - samba share in Thunar (no matter which way I do it), the mount gains [root:root ; 666 ] permissions. As a result, I'm able to read and write the share, but for example I cannot copy anything from the share to my desktop.
Interestingly, my ~/.gvfs and /run/user/UID/gvfs/ directories are empty, so I really don't know where is the mount point...
(I know I could make an nfs share, but sometimes I have people with Win machines wanting to access the same server. Yes, they still exist...)
Any ideas about how to get back my shares to their place?
p.s.: I've tried pcmanfm, works fine, mounts to the /run... directory with correct uid and gid.
