No Sound in Firefox and Oxenfree

Exactly what it sounds like, really. Youtube playback doesn't have any sound, and neither does the game Oxenfree. The fact that these are the only two systems having this problem leads me to suspect that they share an audio engine. However, ldd provides no clues as to what that engine is. In addition, I know for a fact that SDL and OpenAL both work fine (having recently fixed numerous issues involving both).

I am running amd64 Arch Linux with ALSA. Notably, I am running without Systemd, and using the patched libpulse-nosystemd package from the relatively popular openrc-eudev package repository. This means that 32-bit applications running through pulse may not work (as there is no lib32-libpulse-nosystemd, and I have the regular lib32-libpulse installed). However, neither Oxenfree nor Firefox are 32-bit, so while it's worth a mention, this is unlikely to be the cause of the problem.
