Printer ignores CUPS "num-copies" property

Good day,

my printer won't print multiple copies of a document for some reason. Other properties like paper-tray to use etc. work flawlessly. The printing jobs in CUPS includes the correct "num-copies":

cat /var/log/cups/page_log | grep 24
Ricoh-MP-C3003 gazeto 24 [12/Jan/2017:09:41:53 +0100] 1 3 - localhost plan.pdf — 20170108_Seminarplan_ES_VBII_Januar - - 

Printer is the said Ricoh-MP-C3003 via Network connection. The setup works works when using a current Ubuntu-System.
System in use:

4.9.0-1-MANJARO #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Dec 23 10:47:01 UTC 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux
