[SOLVED] GNOME with "Workspaces only on primary display" off

Hi all,

by default, GNOME 3 has workspaces only on the primary display in multi-monitor setups but this is controlled by the option "Workspaces only on primary display" in the tweak tool.  I just set it to off so that a workspace spans both of my connected side-by-side monitors.

Basically, I like this setup but there's one glitch.  In the Overview's workspaces dock (at the right corner of the Overview), only the contents of the part of the workspace shown on the primary display is shown.  I would have expected to either see workspaces which are two displays wide, or a second dock on the second display.  So right now, I can only see my open windows of the workspaces on the first display.

Is there any cure?

Bye,
Tassilo

Ah, I found a extension which does just that: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/ … rs-add-on/
