Since I upgraded my system (today), printing does not work properly on some applications, because the printer is not listed in the print dialog.
The printer is properly shown on Cups administration page, and also on system-config-printer utility. I can print from Thunderbird, LibreOffice, Qutebrowser, Chromium, etc. But I cannot print from Firefox, Evince, Zathura, etc. because on the print dialog only the "Print to file" option is displayed, my printer does not appear.
I have no idea what can be causing it, I wonder if it might be related to some problems I have experienced since this update (lightdm failing on multi-monitor installs, unresponsive PS2 keyboard).
Any suggestions?

Install gtk3-print-backends , see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=217787 as well.
Moral of the story: Don't do unattended updates and make sure to read pacman's output to be aware of new optional, but potentially needed for your usecase, dependencies.

Thanks a lot, it's working now!
I usually read update messages... usually. I'll try to pay more attention from now on!
