I can't run mcomix. This is the error it gives:

14:31:39 [MainThread] ERROR: No version of PyGTK was found on your system.
14:31:39 [MainThread] ERROR: This error might be caused by missing GTK+ libraries.

I have pygtk 2.24.0-6.

Re: mcomix error

EDIT: sorry missread - the title of your thread refers to mcomix, but the text refers to mcomic - I couldn't find anything about the later.

I just tried it out, it works fine here.  Are you fully up to date, do you have any ignorepkgs in pacman.conf?

Re: mcomix error

Did you install pygtk from pip or pacman ? If python packages are available in pacman, this should be the preferred source.

Try also running 'pygtk-demo' from the cli, if the package was installed from pacman. This should bring up a gui demonstrating various widgets. If you aren't able to run it, then there is a problem with the library paths.

I installed pygtk from pacman.
Looks like there is a problem with paths, how do i fix it? Here is the output of pygtk-demo:

    execfile(os.path.join(pygtklibdir, "pygtk-demo.py"))

You are using an outdated freetype2 package (presumably infinality), please read the other threads about this issue, and switch to the official repository versions.
