[SOLVED] Could not find VirtualBox Remote Desktop Extension Library

I just went to start up Windows 10 (guest) in VirtualBox and it wouldn't start. I get "Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows 10". When I click details, I get the following: "Could not find VirtualBox Remote Desktop Extension Library". I also get this

Result Code:

Component:
ConsoleWrap
Interface:
IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

Not sure if this is related, but here is the output of VBoxManage list extpacks

Pack no. 0:   VNC
Version:      5.1.12
Revision:     112440
Edition:
Description:  VNC plugin module
VRDE Module:  VBoxVNC
Usable:       true
Why unusable:

I've done a search and haven't come up with anything that has solved this problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you.

Re: [SOLVED] Could not find VirtualBox Remote Desktop Extension Library

I had the same problem. I solved it by creating a new entry with "new", choosing the appropriate OS (in your case Windows 10). When asked to select a disk I chose "available disk" and selected the vdi-File from my previous entry. This new entry worked as expected.
