Hi,
I've been having a lot of screen flickering issues lately. The screen flickers and flashes. I suspect that this is a kernel issue since this happens not only in X, but also in the tty.
What I have tried so far:
Kernels:
Stock 4.8.13
4.4 Current LTS
Custom Compiled Kernel 4.9.1 and 4.9.3
Kernel Boot parameters
i915.enable_psr=0 i915.enable_rc6=0
xf86-video-intel
Removed the xf86-video-intel driver and used KMS.
However, none of that fixed it. I'm not sure what else to try next. Suggestions?
Are there any logs that I should be posting? Not sure.

Indeed:
dmesg
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
journalctl -xe

UPDATE
I think I've noticed something interesting. I think it might have to do with my internet connection at home. When I connect at school, I don't remember ever having problems. When I tried to block network connections via
# rfkill block all
, the screen stops flickering. Might be related. I use NetworkManager. Might be my home network causing this. Don't think it makes sense though.

I could be totally off the mark here...
Do you have a Macbook Pro 13' 2015? I always had screen flickering problems on mine which I 'resolved' by moving the home network from 2.4GHz to 5.GHz. I never got to the bottom of the screen flickering problem when using 2.4GHz, but since 5GHz works so well (after disabling wifi power-saving) I never felt the need to figure out what the problem was.

Spot on! MacBook Pro 13" (not sure about the year, almost sure 2015).
bullseye. Let me check.
But yeah, switching networks helped. Will try to figure the issue later. Not sure about 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz and that yet.
