[SOLVED] Screen capture "freezing" on Mate

When ever I use compiz or compton I get the screen capture "freezing" up. I get this when ever I use obs, teamviewer, anydesk and the screen capture tool.

Here is what it looks like this is about one min after I switched to compton. It got "frozen" right after I switched and it shows mate-tweak loading.

Thanks for any help you can give,
Nick

Please fix your image.

As for the problem, does it only happen when you are running a compositing manager? What are your hardware specs, especially the graphics chip and driver.

Re: [SOLVED] Screen capture "freezing" on Mate

Sorry about the screenshot there are so many small things it is hard to keep track of what is not allowed.

When I use the "Software compositor" or no compositor it works fine.

My graphics chip is Intel Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series Graphics & Display. I am using the xf86-video-intel driver.

Try using UXA instead of SNA or using the modesetting driver instead.

Take a look at this article: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Intel_graphics

Using UXA fixed it. Thanks.
