[solved] Kmail 5.4.1 doesn't send or receive Mails

Hi,

really weird problem here for which I couldn't find anything:

Kmail doesn't send or receive E-mails anymore. The problem started after an update in sunday. Following error message is given when trying to send an e-mail:

 Failed to transport message. posteo.de: Proxy connection refused 

When trying to connect to the server in the account settings, kmail tells me that it couldn't connect to the server.

Unable to connect to the server, please verify the server address.

Weird thing is, its across all accounts and I'm positive that the servers are running. I have no proxy configured and have deinstalled privoxy months ago.

Now, I need help finding the problem.

I have tried:
- Downgrading packages
- Readding mail accounts
- clearing all user data, although kmail never forgot the last identity no matter how many files I removed

Kmail is version 5.4.1, akonadi is 16.12.1-3

Would be grateful for help, or a pointer where to dig further (webmail is really annoying).

And finally found the problem... a random https_proxy had appeared out of nowhere, and all my searches for a proxy missed it...
