Bluetooth mouse configuration

I'm new with Arch, but I think most think are fine, except my bluetooth mouse.

It is connected and it has an /dev/input/ entry, but i don't know how to config it.
The graphical settings don't show my mouse and I tried to follow some tutorial to config the X11 settings, but every time I change something there my whole input is broken(touchpad, keyboard) so I have to power of my laptop to stop XFCE.

Can anybody explain what you have to do?

PS: I'm using an laptop with XFCE if it is important for you.

Re: Bluetooth mouse configuration

Hi there,

you said you followed "some tutorial", you should go into more detail or even better,
follow the Wiki here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/bluetooth and https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/bluetooth_mouse.

How did you try to connect your mouse ? Bluetoothctl or some GUI ? In bluetoothctl my bt mouse is listed as "connected" but not "paired" and not working anymore,
so I will have to reread the Wiki and check for changes being made to it since my last visit there.

Re: Bluetooth mouse configuration

Hi,

i don't know what tutorial i try used.

I establish the connection with Bluetoothctl and it said that it is paired and connected. But I said that there is a /dev/input entry for it, shouldn't that mean that the connection and so on is ok?

I followed the steps in these wiki site, but my problem is that the mouse is not used to move the pointer on the screen and I don't know how to reach this.

The mouse is not connected everytime, so is it even possible to use the Xorg config for this device?
