It seems that since I -Syu'd via CLI to the latest (gimmick) that kde will no longer boot up. Nothing else has changed. The only error I receive is "kdeinit" not available or something like that. Right now, I am not home, but will update my post with any furthur messages.
Any ideas?

Solved after a short time researching the forums.
...from CLI...
pacman -Su
pacman -Syu
pacman -Syu kde
...booted fine to kde afterward.
