I went to remove some torrents I had downloaded and wasn't paying attention, I only meant to delete some of the downloaded data, not all the I had selected.
When you delete a torrent from qbittorrent and check the also delete files on hard disk check box in the delete confirmation dialog would I be right to assume that it is a permanent removal? I couldn't find the files in my trash and since it was such a large amount of data I figured I'd be able to find it with ncdu if it was still there, but I couldn't. ATM it's not a big deal, I can get it all back, I'm asking for future reference, this isn't the first time I've done such a thing

...I don't know if the files can be recovered, but FYI: You know that confusing little button in the "Delete Confirmation" popup? I think it looks like a lock? Click that to save your "default" setting for the dialogue. Make sure you save "Don't delete" as the default for the popup.

Yes, the files are also deleted when you check that option.
