Hello all! Theres a rather awsome feature in kubuntu dapper which splits konqueror in half with F8, when browsing files, and the second part become a terminal in current directory. Can someone please enlighten me in how to replicate the same behaviour in arch KDE?

Check the "Window" menu item. I don't remember the default key binding for it.

If you press F4 while you are in a directory in KDE it will do a similar thing, although not identical, since the terminal window opens independenty of the file manager.
Hope this helps.

You both had some excellent suggestions.
By the way, the menu item was called "show terminal emulator"
I have just got to read about all KDE specific features and shortcuts sometime. I must say i always find some new odd but very helpful feature in KDE, and it never siezes to amaze what a competent DE KDE rellay is...
Now if they only could split konqueror in two... onw to browse files, with it's own user interface to manage files, and one UI to browse the web....

Also, you can take a look at that thread which has some KDE specific tips:

Oh sorry, that didn't come out the way I really meant!
I mean i would like a kde file manager, where my shortcuts field isn't visible, and the ui part haven't got the same layout as when browsing the web.
Profiles doesn't really do that for you...
But on the other hand i haven't even tried krusader out yet...
I'll take it for a spin right now, and if i like it, and i can make it my default file manager that would be great.
