I've just uploaded dosbox-multilib-patched to the AUR, along with some dependencies. The 32-bit dynamic recompiler is reported to be far superior in dosbox, and I've also included a small selection of patches:
better PC speaker emulation
MT32 emulation
voodoo support
Please test it out and tell me if you run into any issues. Also feel free to request additional patches, but I may remove them if major regressions are reported. I would recommend dosbox-x-git if you're looking for something that adds a lot of features, but also drifts away from upstream.

Looks interesting, but sourceforge svn access appears to be down or having problems, so i can't test.
You can remove the .install-file, updating icons is now done by a pacman hook .
see /usr/share/libalpm/hooks/gtk-update-icon-cache.hook
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
(A works at time B) && (time C > time B ) ≠ (A works at time C)

Sorry, I forgot to subscribe to this thread. ?
I've updated the package and removed the install file as per your suggestion. I've also updated to dosbox revision 4018 and updated the mt32 patch. lib32-munt-git should also be rebuilt.
