Games and Resolutions [resolved]

I just did two things, got a new monitor, and reinstalled arch.  I used X -configure to configure X, and everything was going great.  Then I fired up Doom III, and the image only took up a tiny portion of one corner of my screen.  I found that I could fix it by increasing the resolution of the game, but then My poor nv 6600 gt was having trouble keeping up.  Same story with zsnes and UT2004, but for some reason Neverwinter Nights works perfectly.

Is this common?  Do I need to adjust my xorg.conf?

Re: Games and Resolutions [resolved]

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Screen0"
    Device "Card0"
    Monitor "Monitor0"
    SubSection "Display"
        Depth 24
        Modes "1280x1024" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
    EndSubSection
EndSection

I just added the different resolutions after token "modes".[/code]
