Cannot update system due to conflict between ocl-icd and catalyst

I am trying to update my system but I cannot due to a conflict between ocl-icd and catalyst-total.

Any ideas?

Post the exact error from your pacman failing to upgrade.

Re: Cannot update system due to conflict between ocl-icd and catalyst

From what I can see you're running both way behind on updates and doing partial updates, which are not supported.

EDIT: Also, it seems this is an AUR package and the comments actually state something about this. Did you read the comments? https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/catalyst-total/

Re: Cannot update system due to conflict between ocl-icd and catalyst

Try removing ocl-icd manually. pacman -Rns ocl-icd. What does that do? And yes, you are very behind on upgrades. Hopefully this in itself won't produce any problems. And from what I can tell, newer versions of catalyst will work with (or requires?) xorg117, while you seem to be using xorg116.

I fear that we may have a lengthy trail of breakages ahead of us.... First things first, try manually removing ocl-icd. Then go from there.
