So, just got a new laptop and attempting to install i3 on it...
I've installed xorg, xorg-server, xinit and i3-wm.
Edited my /home/user/.xinitrc to have the 'exec i3' line.
When I try and startx I get this output:
/etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc: line 2: /usr/bin/X: Success
xinit: giving up
xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused
xinit: server error
Does anyone here have any help for troubleshooting this problem?
This is my output of 'pacman -Q | grep "xorg" ' : http://imgur.com/a/0W62h

where's your xorg log?
what drivers are you using?

1. Don't run X as root.
2. Don't post images of text, paste the actual text: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … s_and_code
3. Edit your post and change the title to something that actually reflects your issue: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … ow_to_post

1. I don't run X as root, I was just in root for that particular moment installing some other stuff.
2. I can't paste the text due to the fact I can't even get a graphical output to get on this forum, haha.
3. Okay I will.
I'm using the nvidia-nouveau drivers. And how do I view my xorg log, sorry?
