completelly without some Gnome?

is a smart Linux installation without Gnome possible (as Gnome does not offer any more compatibility under versions)?

I hope I'm missing something here.  Does "smart Linux" refer to some thing in particular?  Of course you can install linux without Gnome.

Also why is this in "Other Architectures"?  Please clarify your question, if there is one.
