Since yesterday Evolution doesn't display messages.
For some reason there is no text body and no header either, in the message pane. This is regardless whether the email is in HTML or in plain text. Double clicking on a message in the message list doesn't work either, as the new window shows a blank body. Viewing the source also doesn't work.
I also noticed the same problem with Gnome Help: the pages are completely blank, although in this case I can blindly click on the links and browse the manual. That is, there is a html structure there but I can't see it.
My first guess it's that perhaps a recent change in the WebKit library has broken the html rendering. But Epiphany (the web browser) works flawlessly (actually it works better and more smoothly than the last time I used it).
Anyone is experiencing the same issue?
EDIT:
I can confirm that downgrading webkit2gtk from 2.14.4-1 to 2.14.3-1 solves* the problem.
I see that Evolution has been flagged as out of date in the Arch repository. Perhaps it is going to be rebuilt against the new webkit.

Thanks for pointing out which package I had to downgrade.

WebKitGTK+ developer here: we have pinned down the issue to be only present when using a HiDPI display, and we already have a patch in the upstream bug report, check: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=168128
You may want to keep using webkit2gtk-2.14.3 until we have a new release out.

Thanks.
I'm using a HiDPI setting indeed, but it didn't come to mind that this could be relevant. Oddly, Epiphany works fine for me.

Stopping by to say thanks, this thread fixed my issue (using HiDPI display as well).

webkit2gtk 2.14.5-1 is available and that solves the issue here.
