[SOLVED] I cannot change the locale in GDM

Hi there,

I want to change the locale of GDM.
I read the wiki here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GD … e_language

The first section is outdated, but using the alternative way. I edit the /var/lib/AccountsService/users/gdm and I reboot, but nothing changes.
Any ideas?

I got some help at https://www.reddit.com/r/gnome/comments … le_in_gdm/ and I managed to solve my problem, so I am posting the solution here in case someone has the same issue in the future and searches the forums about it to be able to find it.

It appears that GDM uses the system locale and thus, editing /etc/locale.conf did the trick.
