[SOLVED] SimpleScreenRecorder Black Screen
Hi all. Thank you for putting out such a terrific distro.
Pretty plain and simple problem that I can not seem to find an answer to using google or searching the forums. I am attempting to use SimpleScreenRecorder, and no matter what settings I put the screen recorder on, it is only recording a black screen. It is capturing my mouse, but it is not capturing any of my gnome interface (including wallpaper, applications, nothing except the mouse).
I am not necessarily partial to sticking with SimpleScreenRecorder, but the problem does not seem to be resolved when I try other screen recorders.

I guess you are using gnome on wayland, while screen-recorders based on on ffmpeg works only with X11. To confirm try starting gnome on xorg and record the screen.

I had the same problem and this solution worked for me. I have noticed this black screen problem while trying to do screen share with discord. But I couldn't find solution while searching for "discord black screen".
