Touchpad weirdness

I'm trying to use the AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint touchpad of Ideapad 710S with libinput instead of synaptics but it doesn't behave correctly.
LibInput seems to not detect the touchpad surface aspect-ratio, so while horizontal movements are ok the vertical ones are really short and slow.
Touchpad physical size is about 100x70mm but "libinput-list-devices" reports this:
Size: 102.38x28.83mm

Investigating the problem I found that there are some quirks to adjust the size but seems not working:
/usr/lib/udev/hwdb.d/90-libinput-model-quirks.hwdb

libinput:name:*AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint:fwversion:800
LIBINPUT_ATTR_SIZE_HINT=100x55

any clue how to fix this?
