HP Pavilion X2 Touchpad and ACPI issues

Hi!

After success on my XPS 13, I tried to install Arch with Gnome on my HP Pavilion X2 12 (Intel Core M3 6Y30, 8GB RAM, 12" FHD). Everything works, but the touchpad isn't working at all.

I tried to install xf86-input-synaptics as suggested here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Touchpad_Synaptics , as well as a different post on UbuntuForums, but Gnome uses libinput as stated on the wiki and by the post below.

This seems like it could work: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2323564 , but I'd prefer to know if there's any way to keep gestures on the touchpad and not only basic point and click functionality.

Information:

Output from lsusb:

Aside from this, there are also ACPI issues, but I haven't been able to find any solution to them, this is the dmesg output:

Any help for these issues would be really appreciated!

Re: HP Pavilion X2 Touchpad and ACPI issues

For Gnome you use libinput (it makes that clear in the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GN … d_touchpad).

LibInput was my first try, as outlined on the wiki. However, that did not work, hence the other link. Thanks for the tip, editing now

Re: HP Pavilion X2 Touchpad and ACPI issues

I'm having the exact same issues, though with KDE. Also on an HP x2, ACPI and Touchpad issues.
