Dell XPS15 (9560) KDE/Plasma5 Scaling Issue HiDPI with external Screen

Hi Folks,

got the following problem with my DELL XPS15 9560 (screen with 4k resolution [3840x2160]).

Setup: Arch with up2date Plasma5/SDDM on xorg

sddm.conf

ServerArguments=-nolisten tcp -dpi 240

for proper scaling to 4k on 15"

Set Icons and Fonts via System Settings to larger scale to fit my needs.

So far so good, as long as I use my system on its own, my setup fits my needs.

When I go to meetings there is a 1080p projector and my screen at work/home is a DELL U2515H with a native 2560x1440 resolution.

What is the best way to deal with different resolutions?
On the external Dell Screen everything is way to big due to the scaling factor in sddm.

I read the HiDPI Multiple Displays article and am not sure what kind of scaling factors I should use there and if this is the right way to handle my problem.

Best Regards

Same laptop, same issues under GNOME. I just relegated my external display to be dedicated to my web browser and aliased chrome on the command-line like this:

alias chrome='google-chrome-stable --high-dpi-support=1 --force-device-scale-factor=1'

Hope that's somewhat helpful.
