Arch unbootable

Hi.

Since I made the mistake of adding my DVD ROM to /etc/fstab the system boot stops with the message you are in emergency mode. It recommended me to type journalctl -xb after logging in , where it shows a lot of boot messages, systemctl reboot to reboot which does not help. I can still see the device the directories but editing /etc/fstab seems impossible. As sudo I can open and edit it but have no right to save it as root it creates a new file.

I m asking for help.

Re: Arch unbootable

Either remount the filesystem as rw so you can edit fstab or boot from the installation media and edit fstab from there.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan
