I'm using gnome 3.22 but after some alt+tabs, when i move a window it moves very sluggish like it is skipping some frames.
I have a intel and a nvidia graphics card. I'm using the intel driver (since i have a intel 3000HD graphics) and i can reproduce this problem both in Xorg and Wayland, i've tried switching to DRI2 (since DRI3 is the default now) and i've noticed it takes a little more time to happen with it but in the end the problem persists.
I thought it could be a memory leak on gnome-shell but the processes owned by gdm don't rise above 106/108mb of RAM and the others owned by my user don't rise above 180/189mb.
I tried to switch gdm for lightdm (thinking the problem might be there) but no luck. I can't reproduce this on other DE.
I'm currently out of ideas so if anyone can help it would be apreciated thank you very much.
