I haven't updared system for a quite while now I ended up like this:

lib32-qt4 was dropped from [multilib] not long ago, it's now in the aur .
There may be more packages like that on your system, best run pacman -Qm to check.
you will have to remove those outdated / obsolete packages , then build & reinstall them from aur after you updated.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
