I'm using the early 2015 Dell XPS 13 (9343). I try to use the projector using an adapter to convert VGA to Mini-DP.
However, after plugging the Mini-DP, XRandR still can't detect it.

Any ideas?

I have a dell alienware that appears to have the same issue. xrandr doesn't seem to detect any monitors I plugged in:

Maybe it is related to having both Intel and nvidia GPUs in the laptop?
