[SOLVED] Kdenlive, I can't render anymore!

So, I have finished my very last course at university... well, not yet. I need to render one last video, then I'm done.
But it seems the devil wishes otherwise. I've been using Linux for years now and suddenly I get this in kdenlive:

Rendering of /home/humar/kdenlive/untitled.mp4 crashed

mlt_repository_init: failed to dlopen /usr/lib/mlt/libmltsox.so (libsox.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
mlt_repository_init: failed to dlopen /usr/lib/mlt/libmltvidstab.so (libvidstab.so.0.9: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
medium: [ ref=1, _mlt_properties_load=medium, __mlt_properties_load=medium ]
[swscaler @ 0x7efe7d316e40] Warning: data is not aligned! This can lead to a speedloss

I dug through a dozen forums already, but no luck at anything. Please, help me!
Else I have to do all the work again and organize a copy of windows to do this... this is many hours of work.

carnager@caprica ~ > pkgfile  /usr/lib/mlt/libmltsox.so
extra/mlt

carnager@caprica ~ > pkgfile libsox.so.3
extra/sox

carnager@caprica ~ > pkgfile libvidstab.so.0.9
community/vid.stab

make sure you have those packages installed. in worst case use abs to rebuild kdenlive

Thanks I fixed it. Turns out there was one minor thing in the project (two overlapping effects) that triggered the crash. I should definitely find another application to do my editing soon

So I know this is an old thread, but in case someone else comes across it...

I was running into the same error and fixed the issue by disabling "Use GPU processing (Movit library)" in the Playback section of Kdenlive settings
