liboil 0.3.6-3 corrupted?

couldn't install gnome after fresh arch 0.7.2 ftp install method. pacman package integrity check  reported liboil 0.3.6-3 as corrupted package! same effect on my running arch system.

Try to remove it from the cache (/var/cache/pacman/pkg) and redownload it. If you still get the error, remove it again from the cache and try using another mirror.

Moved to 'Pacman & Package Upgrade Issues' section.

Re: liboil 0.3.6-3 corrupted?

I had the problem too, removing is from /var/cache didn't help, downloading it directly from ftp.archlinux.org using firefox also didn't help.
doing "pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/liboil-0.3.6-3.pkg.tar.gz" did the trick.
So the package isn't corrupted, why does pacman tell this when I did pacman -Su?

There's probably a md5sum mismatch between the package and its value in your db. You could try to use another mirror to update your db. ftp://ftp.nethat.com works for me.

It is already installed, no problem ;-)
I use ftp.belnet.be because that mirror is whitelisted for my downloadlimit :-)
