Upon installing from a USB disk I run Archlinux and issue a wifi-menu command to connect. The follow error is a result of Pacman -Syu:

After pacman -Syu fails any further pacman -S ... commands will issue the folowing error:
pacman: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libgcc_s.so.1: invalid ELF header
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums. When you get a chance, please look over our forum guidelines on the wiki. Your image was too large for the forums, so I've replaced it with a link. Also, you should really post text as text (in code tags) not as a photo of the text.
The problem is, despite your first sentence, you have not installed yet, you are in the live usb - you should not try to update the live USB system (there are some rare corner cases where this is a viable strategy, but it is not the norm.)
Why are you trying to run `pacman -Syu` from within the live system? Follow the installation guide on the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Installation_guide
Mod note: not a pacman issue. moved to N.C.
