I have a Dell XPS 15 9560, running arch with i3wm which is loaded via xinit. On my xinitrc I run xmodmap to set the caps lock key to escape, and it works fine. However, sometimes, after I leave the laptop suspended for a while (it doesn't happen if it's suspended for a short time), when I resume it my xmodmap configuration is reset, and I have to manually run the command.
I assume this is happening because after a while suspended, the internal keyboard is disconnected, and on resume it detects it as a new one, ignoring the previous configuration. Is there a place where I can run xmodmap every time a new keyboard is added, or maybe after awaking from suspend?
