Today when updating my system I ran across pacman wanting to replace all of my gtk3 packages with the normal ones. It the normal mate-desktop the gtk3 one now I don't want to mess up my system and I have not seen anything on the forms or the wiki.
Here is an example of what I am getting along with a link for the rest.

If I understood, the new version of Mate uses GTK3 by default, see the release notes: http://mate-desktop.org/blog/2017-03-13 … -released/. So, it's safe replace the packages, but keep cached the old ones if something go wrong.

Mate 1.18 is gtk3 only. With this release they've removed all gtk2 related code.
