[SOLVED] PCManFM dark theme in Gnome

I don't want to use Nautilus because it's too minimal for my taste. I like PCManFM, but if I call it in Gnome the theme is white. If I change the theme in lxappearance in Gnome the settings are not saved and PCManFM stays white.

How can I change the theme of PCManFM permanently in Gnome?

install gnome-tweak-tool and change the settings there. afaik lxappearance does not affect gnome look and behavior.

Which version are you using? The global dark theme is a GTK3 thing so you need to be using pcmanfm-gtk3 for it to work.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Thank you very much! I just switched to Gnome from LXDE and had the GTK2-version installed.
