Some trouble with GTK

Hello all, I've been trying to get an Arch Linux machine up and running for a while now, but GTK will just not let it happen. After installing LXDE, LXDM and Chromium onto a machine, I seem to be getting this error:

[rvs314@localhost ~]$chromium
no protocol specified
[984:984:0324/163912.712391 : ERROR: browser_Main_loop.cc(279)] Gtk: cannot open display :0

I have tried exporting the DISPLAY variable to 0.0 and a few other common fixes to no avail. If you need any more information I can provide it, and all of my software is up to their newest versions. Any help you can give is appreciated. Cheers!

Re: Some trouble with GTK

Turns out setting my hostname was the problem. Thanks to jasonwryan for a quick and helpful answer.
