Re: libinput 1.7.0 really bad at detecting gestures

From the release notes it does look like there were changes to how touchpads work and they expect some issues to show up.

Touchpads now use pressure values to detect touches instead of relying on
BTN_TOUCH. This enables us to have per-device pressure values where needed
to avoid misdetection of light or hovering touches. For now most touchpads
use the default pressure vaules, if you have had issues with touch
misdetection please file a bug with the required pressure ranges. As usual,
this feature is device-dependent so not all touchpads will use pressure
values.

Any idea how to "calibrate" it (I mean pressure detection)?, as now it is really annoying in daily use.

Re: libinput 1.7.0 really bad at detecting gestures

Found a related bug (affects me too, same touchpad), there is a patch to fix things if you are ok with recompiling libinput.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100463

The pressure levels seem to be hardcoded per-model.
