[SOLVED] Virtual console display squares instead of certain characters

Hey guys,

I just installed Arch a few days ago, was using Debian before.
My problem is when i'm in a virtual console, let's say tty1, certain characters i type appear as squares.

A photo of the problem:

I'm using XFCE and in xfce4-terminal the same string is displayed just fine:

The output of locale:

LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=

I'd really appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction on how to fix this.
Please let me know if you need more information.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you.
Appending the following to vconsole.conf solved the problem:

FONT=lat2-16
FONT_MAP=8859-2
