Can't switch Steam audio device

Hi all,

For some weird reason I can't change the audio output of steam and steam games, today I unplugged my USB headset and it fell back to my internal card and now I can't change it back. Pavucontrol simply refuses to change it, when I try to change the device under the "playback" tab it doesnt do anything. My USB headset is set as the default device. I've been trying to find a solution for this for over an hour now with all kinds of different methods and nothing seems to work. Steam just seems locked to my internal card now.

It would be really appreciated if someone here could help me with this.
Thanks!

Re: Can't switch Steam audio device

Likely the new OpenAL default setting: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 3#p1685173

Re: Can't switch Steam audio device

I had already fixed it by removing ~/.config/pulse then relogging, setting default device to my USB headset and starting steam.

However it seems like that new OpenAL setting might indeed be why I couldnt move the audio stream, thanks for that!
