Hi,
xfce4-terminal by some reason incorrectly handles the Fixed font (maybe some others as well). On the Appearance panel, in the Font dialog (on the font preview panel), after font with size 10, goes much bigger one with size 11, then one with somewhat different shape with size 12, and after that the font with size 13 looks exactly of the same shape and size as the one with 11. The problem that the one that I need is missing in these sizes.
The xterm uses the correct version with the following line in .Xresources:
xterm*font: -*-Fixed-Medium-R-*--13-140-*-*-*-*-ISO10646-*Appending the similar line for xfce4-terminal doesn't produce any effect:
xfce4-terminal*font: -*-Fixed-Medium-R-*--13-140-*-*-*-*-ISO10646-*It seems that xfce4-terminal doesn't read the font info from .Xresources at all and uses only ~/.config/xfce4/terminal/terminalrc file.
Could someone advise how to correct this?
Thanks.
UPDATE: This behaviour was caused by the fact that "Custom DPI" option in the Appearance settings of XFCE was set. Unsetting it solved the problem.

Just a clarification. xfce4-terminal does not read .Xresources. Moreover, such font specification refer to an old-style way of spêcifying font. Modern software like xfce do not support that anymore but are using fontconfig/freetype.
