Change colours of *.ppt or *.pdf before printing to save ink

Hi, I couldn't find any solution that I could use to change the colours of a ppt of pdf file. I would like to ask you if you know such a program or Libreoffice option that could help me.

What I would like to do: select a colour by RGB or hexadecimal form, and change it to another colour (white). I had to print many pages today, and they had text boxes with yellow background that consume much ink. That yellow wasn't the background colour. Instead of background there were images.

For example, GIMP can do something like this with images.

CLI and GUI doesn't mean a difference. Do you know such a program that I can use to change these colours? smile

I have HP LaserJet P1006, but I don't think this matters now.

Thank you. Isn't this about changing to black-white? It seems so. Much ink remains much ink anyways...
