[SOLVED] Jupyter notebook missing MathJax javascript library

I have recently installed jupyter-notebook and python-ipywidgets as per the Jupyter Wiki page

The kernel seems to be working well. WHen I navigate to a directory and issue the command

jupyter notebook

A new tab opens up in my browser - http://localhost:8888/tree - which shows the contents of the directory I issued the command from.
But - when I try and open up any notebook - an html pop-up message appears:

Failed to retrieve MathJax from '/static/components/MathJax/MathJax.js'
Math/LaTeX rendering will be disabled.

Sample screenshot

This gets annoying very quickly.

Any ideas why this message keeps appearing?
How can I prevent it from appearing on every single notebook I open?
The only references to this I can find are to do with sage which I don't have installed.

Re: [SOLVED] Jupyter notebook missing MathJax javascript library

Install the mathjax package, it is an optional dependency of jupyter-notebook.

Re: [SOLVED] Jupyter notebook missing MathJax javascript library

Thanks,
I'm really embarrassed now - it even says mathjax is an optional dependency of the Jupyter package

I think I just assumed it would be linked to a CDN version or something.

EDIT: It never rains but it pours... Jupyter package
