partiton problem

I have installed the arch linux on laptop fully
my partion are: /dev/sda1 EFI system--400MB and /dev/sda2--1.9TB as linux filesytem .and i am having 2 tb harddisk in my laptop want to use remaining space of /dev/sda2
for storing files so how can i use the remaning space of /dev/sda2 without reinstalling arch linux

Where is remaining space?? You have two partitions and both used, if I am understanding this correctly.

I want to use the 1TB of space of /dev/sda2 for my storing files and other words want to resize the /dev/sda2 partition make it smaller in size so i can use the space of

You may use gparted for graphical interface,  http://gparted.org/livecd.php

You will need to use it from rescue disc, as only unmounted partitions can be resized.
As you are resizing your root partition you probably may need to reinstall your bootloader, and modify fstab to reflect changes.
Take proper backup before doing anything, there is always risk of loosing data, so if it doesn't workout well be ready to reinstall.

(parted) resizepart number end.  In my case what will be the number and end when iam entering the number as 2 sp it says does not exist
