Hey there,
I'm currently running Arch on a ThinkPad T460 with onboard Intel graphics (HD520). Graphics usually work well enough (got a docking station for my desktop, two monitors, HDMI and DVI) but whenever I try to connect to e.g a projector or other external monitor through the built-in HDMI connector the output stops for a short time every ten seconds or so (especially apparent when watching full screen videos). As already mentioned, this problem does not occur when connecting a monitor through the docking station.
What I've tried so far:
- Increasing GRAM in BIOS to 512MB
- decreasing external resolution
- disabling internal monitor
My system:
Kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.10.6-1-ARCH
CPU: Intel Core i5-6200U @ 4x 2.8GHz
GPU: Mesa DRI Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 (Skylake GT2)
RAM: 1277MiB / 7421MiB
Any ideas, why I might experience these problems?
Thanks!
